PURPOSES AND OBJECTIVES
The ICCFR Trust is the sister body to the International Commission on Couple and Family Relations. Trustees work closely with the Commission and share the same mission and purposes. The Trustees are made up of an international group of lawyers, policy makers and counsellors, all of whom have been long-standing members of the Commission. The Trust has been a registered English charity since July 2003.
The Objects of the Trust are:
- To advance the education of the public in the social sciences and in particular in matters concerning family and interpersonal relationships.
- To achieve such other objects which are charitable within the laws of England and Wales as may be determined by the Trustees.(“the Objects”).
The Trustees must use the income and may use the capital of the Trust in promoting the Objects.
The Trustees are wholly and solely responsible for the decisions taken by the Trust and for all of its activities, which must be in fulfilment of its Objects. They are required to present a report and financial accounts to the Charity Commissioners of England and Wales annually.
The Trust’s income comes from donations and grants awarded by foundations, trusts, individuals and governments. It seeks funds from an increasing number of national governments, from philanthropic organisations and from individuals committed to the support of couples and families – the cornerstone of every democratic society.
Those who wish to support its work, and thus that of the Commission, have the opportunity to make use of their own national tax regulations to do so in a tax-efficient fashion. Please consult government regulations in the relevant country.
Please use our DONATION FORM to support the Trust’s activities.
