Douglas Alexiou Douglas ALEXIOU (UK) is a solicitor who has specialised in family law for more than 44 years. He was at Gordon Dadds for more than 30 years before Alexiou Fisher Philipps was set up in July 2001. He was senior partner until he retired from the partnership and became a consultant with effect from 1 April 2015. He was a founding fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) and was President from 2000 to 2002 and before that was President of the European Chapter of the IAML from 1998 to 2000. He was Chairman from 1992 to 1996 of the London Regional Group of the Solicitors Family Law Association (now Resolution). He is a consultant editor of the Family Law Journal. Apart from the law, he was a director of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club from 1980 to 1998, including a period as Chairman.
Anne Berger Anne BERGER (USA) is a partner in the Woburn law firm of Berger & Small (JD: Boston University School of Law). She has written and lectured extensively on family law and related issues. She was a council member of the Family Law Section of the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA) from 1996 to 1999. She has been a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1987 and of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers since 1997. Ms Berger currently serves as the Massachusetts Chapter delegate to the Board of Governors of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and as a USA Chapter delegate to the Board of Governors of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She is also on the Board of the AAML Foundation.
John CHAMBERS OBE (Scotland) retired in 2009 as Minister of Ness Bank Church of Scotland, Inverness, where he had been since 1998. Previously, he was Chief Executive of Relate Northern Ireland and before that Chairman of East Belfast Youth Council. He was also a minister in the Presbyterian Church in Ireland. He has been involved in ICCFR since 1990 and was responsible for co-hosting the 1992 ICCFR conference in Newcastle, Co. Down. From 1995 to 1998 he was Chair of the International Commission on Couple and Family Relations (ICCFR). He has been a regular broadcaster on BBC Radio Scotland and a visiting lecturer at Aberdeen University. John is one of the three Founder Trustees of ICCFR Trust.
Katharine Hill photo Katharine HILL (UK) is the UK Director at Care for the Family, a national charity which aims to strengthen family life and help families in difficulty. Katharine is an established speaker who has addressed thousands of people across the UK on marriage and parenting issues. She has written a number of books on family issues. She draws on her personal and professional knowledge in writing articles for newspapers and magazines, as well as in national and local broadcast interviews. Prior to joining Care for the Family in 2004, Katharine was a solicitor, specialising in family law. Her work centred on divorce, including custody and finance, care proceedings and other aspects of family breakdown. For a number of years, Katharine also ran a Legal Advice Centre in a socially deprived area of Bristol, which gave her a keen understanding of the legal and sociological issues surrounding marriage and family breakdown. Katharine has also served as a magistrate in Bristol. Katharine is married to Richard and they have four grown-up children.
GR 2014 photo Gerlind RICHARDS MBE (England) was from 1988 until 2008 the Hon. General Secretary of the International Commission on Couple and Family Relations (ICCFR). She has a background in European literature (BA, UCL), lived and taught in several European countries; she first became involved in working for the Commission at its former umbrella organisation, the IUFO in Paris, in the late 1970s. In 2003 she was awarded the MBE for her work in international relations. Gerlind is one of the three Founder Trustees of ICCFR Trust.
Suzie Thorn Suzie S. THORN Esq. (USA) is a prominent matrimonial lawyer in San Francisco. She is President the San Francisco firm of attorneys Schapiro Thorn, Inc., and of the S. S.Thorn Family Foundation, and from 2006 to 2008 was President of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Foundation, She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. She has been a Board Member of ICCFR since 1995 and was instrumental in setting up the Trust. Suzie is one of the three Founder Trustees of ICCFR Trust.

Philip RICHARDS ACA (UK) is a chartered accountant working in London as Group Financial Controller of an international firm. He trained and worked for a number of years at KPMG, including a year in Munich and two years in Stockholm. His experience of working with a charity was gained after graduating in History at Nottingham University, when he was elected to work for a year as President of the Athletic Union. Phil and his wife live in the Surrey hills south of London.
